A self-help seminar transforms into a group vision quest. A menagerie of mismatched ceramic toy animals and ordinary houseplants becomes a beautiful landscape for both performers and the audience to disappear inside. Inspired by self-help books, horoscopes, mythic quests and the performers’ own dreams and neuroses, Animals’ Heads explores the human need to create meaning out of our lives and elevates the ordinary and everyday into the extraordinary. Featuring Michael Crane, Andy Grotelueschen, Catherine Mueller and Justine Williams with Paul Coffey on cello.
